This building and garden plot is a spacious plot in a very quiet environment with a slight slope at the foot of a private forest. Planning permission was granted in November 2020 for the construction of a five-family house. Modern architecture with a clear design language is planned. Five residential units with two to three rooms are spread over two full storeys and a staggered storey. The plan envisages two residential units on each full storey, with a barrier-free, spacious penthouse flat on the top floor. Each residential unit has either a balcony or terrace and is easily accessible by lift. This means that at least one flat in the building fulfils the accessibility requirements of the Potsdam building regulations. An underground car park provides five parking spaces. It can be reached directly via the entrance in the basement and is connected to all floors via the lift. There are also two outdoor parking spaces in the driveway. Shared use of the park-like garden plot is planned.

The state capital of Potsdam now has a population of 187,310 and continues to grow steadily. The population is expected to reach around 205,000 by 2035. The city is not only known for its high quality of life, its water-rich surroundings and its UNESCO World Heritage Sites, but has also established itself as a centre of science. Three public universities, more than 30 research institutes and two universities of applied sciences provide education for around 25,000 students. The Golm district on the western outskirts of Potsdam is home to a complex of the University of Potsdam as well as several institutes of the Max Planck Society and the Fraunhofer Society. It is therefore no coincidence that new companies specialising in science, research and the life sciences sector are constantly settling here. As a result, there is an increased need for living space for the scientists and research staff of these companies. Reiherbergstrasse runs directly south of the Golm university campus. Various institutes are within walking distance, as is the Golm regional train station, from which you have a direct connection to Potsdam city centre every 15 minutes. There is also a bus stop just 100 metres away for a trip into the city centre of Potsdam. Thanks to the good rail connections, you can also reach Berlin's main railway station and are therefore extremely flexible and well connected while enjoying the benefits of Potsdam's beautiful surroundings.
